We're always up for a challenge here at Lucent. When our friends at Zoe Productions asked us to print and install a 90ft. timeline for Chapman University we just couldn't say no. Our goal was to present a sleek finish with minimal seams and we did just that.
Our Concern:
When installing wall graphics, the tried and true method is installing from top to bottom. Our concern with this method was the amount of seams it would produce. The typical roll of vinyl has a width of 54" so an overlapping seam would present itself every 54" for 90 feet.
Our Solution:
We decided to do things a bit different this time around and went for a horizontal installation resulting in a more visually pleasing piece with minimal seams. Check out the results in our video below:
